2017 was another year of strong spirit and action at Tokyo Tech. The Year of the Rooster brought about innovative technological creations, outstanding collaborative and individual achievements, and progressive campus developments, and the Institute would like to express its appreciation for your continued support. Here are some highlights from the past 12 months.
The Tokyo Tech community offers everyone best wishes for the New Year!
Four workshops were held between fall 2016 and early spring 2017 to brainstorm Tokyo Tech's unique strengths and societal impact. Students, faculty, staff, and executive management of all ages joined group discussions that ultimately resulted in Tokyo Tech 2030 — spirit and action. Similar events followed in June for newly hired Tokyo Tech staff and in November on a larger scale with more students.

New Year's holidays
The Institute's New Year's holidays are scheduled as follows:
Friday, December 29, 2017 to Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
Offices reopen on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
The Special Topics component of the Tokyo Tech Website shines a spotlight on recent developments in research and education, achievements of its community members, and special events and news from the Institute.
